Headshot Portrait Mario Brown

Mario Brown

is a childcare program director and first time author living in the Netherlands. His debut book, ELIFANT and His Super Power Nose, was inspired by his youngest son Elijah, who experienced his first food allergy reaction as a baby during a family vacation.

Elijah’s early years included medical challenges from food allergies and gluten sensitivity to open-heart surgery, but also resilience, therapy, and the love of family. Through these experiences, Mario saw how important it is to give children stories that make sense of what feels frightening.

With ELIFANT and His Super Power Nose, he hopes to help families everywhere talk about food allergies in a gentle, reassuring way, turning fear into understanding and safety.

Jennifer Brown

is an entrepreneur, digital strategy coach, and the publisher behind StoryiT! Publishing. With many years of professional experience in digital marketing, event management, and agile coaching, she has worked closely with neurodivergent entrepreneurs, creatives, and leaders to help them grow and thrive.

As the mother of Elijah, Jennifer’s journey has been deeply personal. Watching her baby face severe food allergies, medical challenges, and the trauma of an emergency-filled start to life was nerve-wracking and heartbreaking. What carried her forward was her faith in God and the incredible spirit of a miracle child who smiled through his hardships, pain, and suffering. His courage became her strength.

Jennifer realized how difficult it was to find literature that explained such challenges to children in a way that was both gentle and age-appropriate. How do you explain to a child why he can’t eat ice cream like others, or why school lunch looks different for him? When she and her husband couldn’t find those answers in existing books, they decided to create them.

With Mario’s talent for writing and her own skills in publishing and promotion, Jennifer sees their work as a calling. “We are a dream team”, she says, “and we follow our purpose to serve other families with everything we are passionate about and gifted with.”
